The Stars and Stripes Foundation is the brainchild of Dan Reeves of Hip Shot Productions and Mark Christianson, U.S. Army Special Forces, (Ret), who came together in 2005 to assist with a charity shooting event, in Las Vegas, featuring some of Hollywood’s most notable actors.
Dan drew on his experience and pulled together a cadre of firearms instructors to assist with the firearms safety training for the famous participants, while Mark organized a cadre of professional, active duty military, service men and women to provide range safety.
Inspired by this event, Dan and Mark co-founded the, “Stars and Stripes Foundation,” and planning was soon underway for the first “SHOOT FOR THE TROOPS,” benefiting the Wounded Warrior Project and other worthwhile organizations whose purpose is to provide support to veterans wounded in combat. The concept is simple. The “Stars” represent celebrated movie, TV, sports, radio and musical professionals from all over the world, and the “Stripes” represent all uniformed military personnel, past and present.
